Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day, May 9th
Every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported.
Mental health is just as important as physical health — especially in early childhood. From the baby learning to self-soothe to the preschooler navigating big emotions, children thrive when adults understand the importance of connection, consistency, and care.
Today, we raise awareness for the mental health of our youngest community members. Let’s: ✔️ Listen without judgment
✔️ Create calm, nurturing spaces
✔️ Ask “What happened to you?” instead of “What’s wrong with you?”
✔️ Support caregivers and early childhood professionals — they are children’s first emotional safety nets
Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate foundation for all children.
